Google Just Rereleased Their Budget Phone But That’s Kinda Okay.
Google has just announced the pixel 10A for £499 however this is weird release in that this is essentially a re rerelease of the pixel 9A

Left: Pixel 10A Right: Pixel 9A
Looking over the spec sheets there is very little that has been updated that arguably makes it that the 9A is probably the better buy which can already be found for £399 at the time of writing this and I’m sure will be heading more towards £299 in the coming months which for the same SoC, storage, software, battery, screen and camera is a lot of savings to be had.
Here is the full list of upgrades on the 10A vs the 9A:
- Screen upgraded from Gorilla Glass 3 to 7i
- 0.8mm shorter
- 0.3mm narrower
- 0.1mm thicker
- 3g lighter
- 200 nits sustained brightness increase
- 300 nits peak brightness increase
- satellite sos
- Airdrop support in quickshare
Aaaand that’s about it otherwise these phones are completely identical. I still don’t think the 10A is a terrible buy for the price but considering that the 9A is already available for less money and will certainly get some good deals throughout the year it’s definitely worth looking at the 9A if you can in my personal opinion.
